Dr. Sergi Valero is a Doctor of Psychology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He is the Chief of the Department of Medical Psychology at Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona since January 2018.

He has more than 20 years of experience in basic, clinical and applied research in drug dependence, psychopathology and memory disorders.

He has been working in the Drug Addiction Unit of the Hospital de Sant Pau (1998-2000), in the Psychiatry Department of the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (2000-2017) and in Ace (2005-present).

He is also a consultant in biostatistics of the Galatea Foundation, of the Official College of Physicians of Barcelona (2004-present). He works as a university professor in the field of research methodology and biostatistics in the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED; 2001-2009), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB; 1997-present), and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC; 2000-present).

He has more than 70 international scientific publications.
