Diego Sepulveda-Falla, PhD
Research Neuropathologist and Principal Investigator in Molecular Neuropathology of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Dr. Diego Sepulveda-Falla is a Colombian Physician and Surgeon graduated from the University of Antioquia in Medellín, where he was also a founding member of the university’s Brain Bank. He obtained a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Hamburg and currently works as a Research Neuropathologist specializing in the molecular neuropathology of Alzheimer’s disease (AD).

For the past sixteen years, he has focused on investigating the molecular and neuropathological heterogeneity of familial Alzheimer’s disease. His research integrates classical neuropathology with advanced genomic and proteomic approaches, as well as spatial and single-cell transcriptomics. In addition, his laboratory applies machine learning–based digital tools to better understand the biological complexity and diversity of AD pathology.
