Dr. Cabrera is a biologist specialized in Neuroscience and stem cells. His scientific background is in neuronal development and degeneration, and human iPSCs. He have more than 20 years of research experience in academia and industry.

He is particularly interested in bridging biomedical research with drug development by adapting novel technologies to target identification/validation- and screening programs. Since 2014, his efforts at Janssen Pharmaceutica (Johnson & Johnson) have been focused in adapting human iPSC-based assays to support R&D projects in the Neurodegeneration Therapeutic Area.
