At Ace, starting October 6th, we are launching a socio-educational and socio-therapeutic support group for couples of individuals diagnosed with dementia before the age of 65.
The aim of this group is to support caregivers by offering information, tools, and emotional support to those who provide daily care to people with some type of early-onset dementia. In addition to addressing aspects related to the disease, the group will allow participants to share experiences about the caregiving process and the emotions that arise from it.
The program will be held in person at the Ace Diagnostic Unit located at Gran Via de Carles III, 85, and will be open both to individuals receiving care at Ace and those receiving care elsewhere. It will consist of nine 90-minute sessions between October 6th and December 1st and aims to have 8 to 12 participants to foster direct communication.
If you believe you fit the profile and wish to participate, please write to us at treballsocial@fundacioace.org.
