We opened a new support group for children of people with early dementia
At Ace, we remain committed to providing comprehensive support to families living with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia. Therefore, we have created a specific support group for children of people diagnosed with dementia before the age of 65.
This group will provide a safe space to share experiences, learn about the disease and find tools to cope with emotional and future challenges.
This cycle of 10 weekly sessions, each lasting approximately 1.5 hours, is scheduled to begin on April 24. The modality can be face-to-face or online (to be confirmed).
The group will be led by a psychologist and a social worker specialized in family support, and will focus on:
- Educate on the impact of the disease and its evolution.
- Provide coping strategies and emotional well-being.
- Create an environment of trust and mutual understanding.
If you are interested in attending or know someone who might need it, just write to us at treballsocial@fundacioace.org.
