Transparency

In compliance with Law 21/2014 of 29 December on the supervision of foundations and the verification of the activity of associations declared to be of public utility, as well as, complementarily, Order JUS/158/2018 of 12 September, which establishes the level of transparency requirements applicable to foundations and associations declared to be of public utility, Ace Alzheimer Center reports:

The Bylaws set out the set of actions, works, initiatives, and projects to be carried out by the organization:

  • Scope of Action

However, it may operate throughout Spain as well as internationally, and may participate or cooperate with national and international entities or bodies—public or private, dependent on foreign governments or non-governmental—subject to the relevant authorizations when required.
  • Foundational Purposes
The main purpose of the Foundation is the diagnosis and treatment of age-related cognitive and behavioral disorders, particularly Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. It is also committed to research, documentation, information, counselling, dissemination, and teaching related to these purposes, fully complying with the legislation in force in Catalonia and with the Protectorate of the Government of Catalonia.

The Foundation additionally aims to provide care and protection for individuals with dementia, exercise guardianships, and support their families by promoting access to information and health education. It may also support other institutions whose objectives align with its own.

  • Activities
To fulfil its foundational purposes, the Foundation carries out the activities deemed necessary by the Board of Trustees, either directly or in collaboration with other entities, institutions, or individuals, in accordance with the regulations governing Foundations.

The Board of Trustees is the governing and administrative body of the Foundation. It represents and manages the organization and assumes all the powers and functions necessary to achieve its objectives. The Board of Trustees has voluntarily established:
