Students from St Peter’s School visit Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona

A day dedicated to bringing science closer to young people and promoting Alzheimer’s research.

Students were able to explore the daily work of our research and development units, where they learned how data are generated and analyzed, which technologies are used, and the scientific challenges currently faced by the research community in the field of Alzheimer’s disease.

A donation that boosts research

As part of this collaboration, students from St Peter’s School organized a fundraising initiative through which they raised €2,000. This contribution, which they have decided to allocate entirely to the research carried out at Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, will help support projects focused on understanding the genetic basis of the disease and identifying  biomarkers that enable earlier and more accurate diagnosis.

This initiative highlights the commitment of younger generations to science and health and underscores the importance of building bridges between educational institutions and research centers.

Bringing science closer to young people: a commitment to the future

The visit allowed students to learn first-hand about the fundamental role of research in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease, as well as the importance of collaboration among institutions to move toward a future with better diagnostic and therapeutic options.
