
He holds an MSc in Biotechnology from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), a PhD in Cognitive Disorders from Karolinska Institutet, and was appointed Docent in Medical Imaging in 2014 and Professor in Neurogeriatrics in 2020 at Karolinska Institutet. His research focuses on the complexity and heterogeneity of ageing, Alzheimer’s disease, and related disorders, with an interdisciplinary and translational approach spanning ageing, geriatrics, radiology, and image processing. He has more than 20 years of experience in advanced image analysis, statistical methods, and machine learning.
