Study on the progression and costs of Alzheimer’s disease
This new retrospective study, started in 2024, analyzes data from 800 patients with amyloidosis in CSF evaluated at our center. In collaboration with the pharmaceutical company Lilly, we want to estimate the impact that a 30% reduction would have on the progression of the disease (simulating the effect of an anti-amyloid drug) in aspects such as: health expenses, use of resources, comorbidities, level of dependence, need for care, burden on the health system, and mortality.

In collaboration with the pharmaceutical company Lilly, the aim is to estimate the impact that a 30% reduction in disease progression (simulating the effect of an anti-amyloid drug) would have on aspects such as healthcare costs, resource utilisation, comorbidities, level of dependency, care needs, burden on the healthcare system and mortality.
