Study on the progression and costs of Alzheimer’s disease
Aquest nou estudi retrospectiu, iniciat el 2024, analitza dades de 800 pacients amb amiloidosi al LCR avaluats al nostre centre.
En col·laboració amb la farmacèutica Lilly, volem estimar l’impacte que tindria una reducció del 30% en la progressió de la malaltia (simulant l’efecte d’un fàrmac antiamiloide) en aspectes com: despeses sanitàries, ús de recursos, comorbiditats, nivell de dependència, necessitat d’atenció, càrrega sobre el sistema de salut i mortalitat.
This new retrospective study, launched in 2024, analyses data from 800 patients with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) amyloidosis evaluated at our centre. In collaboration with the pharmaceutical company Lilly, the aim is to estimate the impact that a 30% reduction in disease progression (simulating the effect of an anti-amyloid drug) would have on aspects such as healthcare costs, resource utilisation, comorbidities, level of dependency, care needs, burden on the healthcare system and mortality.
