The campaign began on 1 September and will run until 2 October, coinciding with Alzheimer’s Night, a charity event organised by Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, where music, culture, art and humour will take centre stage and the importance of research will be highlighted. This charity initiative aims to raise awareness of the need for more research and support for people with Alzheimer’s. In Spain, between 30% and 40% of cases remain undiagnosed, and one in two people has a direct or indirect connection to this disease. Hugs on social media or on the website unabrazoporelalzheimer.com Anyone wishing to join this charity campaign can do so very easily: by uploading as many photos as possible of themselves giving a hug to the website unabrazoporelalzheimer.com, or by tagging @kern_pharma on Instagram with the hashtag #unabrazoporelalzheimer. For every photo uploaded to Instagram or the website, Kern Pharma will donate €2 to the Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona so that they can continue their work and research, supporting those living with this condition. Over the past four editions, more than €20,000 has been raised, which was allocated to the association’s various projects. This charity campaign forms part of Kern Pharma’s commitment to improving the quality of life of people with Alzheimer’s, by developing various initiatives that help raise awareness of the condition and provide support to those living with it.
