Following another successful edition of the Barcelona-Pittsburgh Conference, which once again brought together some of the world’s leading experts in dementia research in Barcelona, Ace Alzheimer Center continues its commitment to advancing and disseminating scientific knowledge through the Global Research Summit 2026.
Organized by Ace since 2021, the Global Research Summit is an international series of online scientific sessions that brings together leading researchers and healthcare professionals to discuss the latest advances in Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
The 2026 edition strengthens this commitment through a year-round programme comprising six sessions, held between June and December in both Spanish and English, addressing some of the most pressing challenges in research and clinical practice.
The Summit will begin on June 17 at 4:00 p.m. CET with a session focused on the debate between the biological and clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. The discussion will feature Alberto Lleó and Marc Suárez-Calvet and will be moderated by Xavier Montalbán.
Over the coming months, the programme will address topics including next-generation biomarkers, emerging therapeutic strategies, genetic counselling, and the application of artificial intelligence to early detection and patient stratification.
The sessions will be free of charge, held exclusively online, and aimed primarily at healthcare professionals, researchers, and the international scientific community. The full programme and registration details for the Global Research Summit 2026 will be announced at the official Summit website.
