Global Research Summit 2025: exploring the latest advances in dementia research

Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona is proud to announce the third edition of the Global Research Summit 2025, a biannual conference series that brings together internationally renowned researchers to share the latest advances in the field of neurodegenerative diseases.

This year, the conference will take place on 25 April, 16 May and 13 June, all lasting two hours (from 16:30h to 18:30h), and will be designed to delve into critical issues that contribute to the understanding and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Each session will address one of the most current scientific challenges in dementia research:

  1. The neuropathology of Alzheimer's disease (25 April): This conference will open the cycle with an in-depth analysis of the neuropathology of Alzheimer's disease, reviewing the pathological changes at the cellular and molecular level that underlie its development and progression.
  2. Understanding synucleopathies: Mechanisms and implications for Alzheimer's disease (16 May): On the second day, leading specialists will explore synucleopathies, investigating their mechanisms and possible connections with Alzheimer's disease, which could open up new avenues for diagnosis and treatment.
  3. Cracking the code of cerebral amyloid angiopathy in Alzheimer's (13 June): The final session will focus on cerebral amyloid angiopathy, addressing its complex interactions with Alzheimer's and its role in disease progression.

Created in 2021, the Global Research Summit is a biannual event that has established itself as a benchmark platform for neuroscience professionals. Dr. Mercè Boada, co-founder and medical director of Ace, highlights that "this meeting brings together a panel of international experts, whose collaboration fosters major advances in the research and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Their joint experience not only drives scientific innovation, but also translates into direct benefits for the improvement of the quality of life of patients and families".

A key event for the exchange of scientific knowledge

As in past editions, each of the three webinars will include presentations by international experts followed by Q&A sessions, where attendees will be able to interact directly with the speakers to discuss in depth the topics addressed.

Registration for the Global Research Summit 2025, which is free and online, is now open at https://www.aceglobalresearchsummit.com/

This event is a unique opportunity to join an international community dedicated to understanding and advancing the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
