Fundació ACE attends the opening ceremony of the new academic year of the UIC Barcelona

The management of Fundació ACE attended today the opening ceremony of the 2018-19 academic year of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona) which serves as the starting signal for the new academic year. The opening speech which took place in the Aula Magna of the Barcelona Campus was given by Xavier Gil Mur, rector of the UIC Barcelona.

The ceremony was also attended by Pilar López Álvarez, president of Microsoft Spain, who offered an opening lecture on artificial intelligence as a key tool for the digital transformation of organizations. In addition, the director-general of Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Josep Pallarès, participated in the event.

The UIC Barcelona and Fundació ACE signed an agreement at the beginning of this year to carry out joint actions in the field of academic training and research in Alzheimer’s disease.
