Memory exercices

Next, we will work on memory through exercises that stimulate the ability to remember stories, objects, and numbers. For the following exercises, you will need paper and pencil, or they can be done orally according to the person’s needs and preferences. These activities are designed to promote episodic, numerical, and semantic memory skills in people with moderate impairment.

Exercice 1

Objectives: to intervene on episodic memory.

Instructions: read the following story to the patient and then have them answer the questions below.

Jordi Pérez left his house every morning to go to work. On Monday, Jordi had to get to his company early to attend a staff meeting. However, he forgot to change his alarm clock on Sunday evening and overslept the next day. By the time he arrived at the company, the meeting had already ended.

1-What is the protagonist’s name?
2-Why did he leave his house every morning?
3-Did he change his alarm clock on Sunday evening?
4-Did he wake up on time on Monday morning to get to work?

Exercice 2

Write 20 objects you can find on a street.

For example: benches.

Exercice 3

Instructions: they will have to remember the numbers that are told to them orally and add them up.

Exercici 7

Explain to them that they will do an exercise in which they will have to connect different historical monuments and the autonomous communities of Spain where they are located with arrows.
