Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, he completed his PhD at the University of Barcelona, where his research focused on studying relevant protein–protein interactions. During this time, he evaluated new therapeutic approaches and investigated the use of novel biomarkers in neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and multiple sclerosis.

He subsequently completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Laboratorios Dr. Esteve, where he developed high-throughput screening (HTS) assays using cellular models.

In 2020, he carried out a postdoctoral research stay at the Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm, Sweden), where he validated a novel cerebrospinal fluid biomarker for Parkinson’s disease using the Simoa assay.

Since January 2021, he has been a member of the Clinical Trials Unit at Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, participating in studies focused on the treatment and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and other causes of cognitive impairment, including Long COVID, frontotemporal dementia, and dementia with Lewy bodies.

He is an AQU-certified Associate Professor and co-author of more than 30 scientific articles published in international peer-reviewed journals.
