
Núria Aguilera holds a Nursing degree from the Red Cross University School of Terrassa (1998) and also a Clinical Assistant diploma (1996). Throughout her professional career, she has expanded her training with several courses in the field of research.
With more than twenty years of experience in various healthcare and research settings, she has developed her career in areas as diverse as hospital care, occupational health monitoring, and clinical trial coordination.
In 2010, she consolidated her research career at Sant Joan de Reus Hospital and Joan XXIII Hospital in Tarragona, where she served as Coordinator of the Clinical Studies Unit at the Pere Virgili Health Research Institute, supporting research projects in specialties such as cardiology, neurology, nutrition, radiotherapy, and infectious diseases.
Since January 2017, she has been part of Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, within the Clinical Trials Unit of the Institute of Applied Neurosciences. She currently works as a Study Nurse, participating in studies that cover all stages of dementia, from the preclinical phase to the most advanced stages. She also provides clinical support at the Day Hospital, carrying out tasks such as collecting samples for the genetic bank of Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona —one of the largest in Europe in the field of dementias— and assisting in lumbar puncture procedures for biomarker analysis.
