
Marina Guitart has a degree in psychology and a master’s degree in Behavioural Medicine from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
She began her activity at Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, combining her work in cognitive assessment of users of the Day Care Unit, with that of sub-investigator in numerous clinical trials, with the evaluation of ADCS-CGIC and CDR of the Clinical Trials Unit.
She is currently coordinator of the Day Centre at Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona and provides psychological care to users and their families.
She runs socio-therapeutic and educational groups for couples and children of people with early onset dementia.
She collaborates with the training programme for relatives of people with dementia at the Diagnostic Unit, giving various post-diagnostic training workshops on dementia.
Author of several publications on non-pharmacological therapeutic interventions for people with dementia, as well as support for relatives and specific exercise books for people with cognitive impairment.
