Dr. Gemma Ortega holds a degree in Psychology from Ramon Llull University of Barcelona and trained in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has more than twenty years of experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and follow-up of individuals with cognitive impairment.

She is part of the Diagnostic Unit team at Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, where she conducts neuropsychological assessments and participates in interdisciplinary consensus meetings to ensure comprehensive and personalized care. In addition, she collaborates in the training of healthcare professionals at the International University of Catalonia.

Her professional career began at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, where she completed her PhD in Medicine in the field of cerebrovascular pathology and undertook a training stay at Rush University (Chicago), specializing in epilepsy.

Subsequently, she focused her practice on the field of dementias and cognitive prevention, expanding her training in nutrition and healthcare management.
