Carlos Tena
Clinical Neuropsychologist in the Diagnostic Unit
Carlos Tena is a Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Diagnostic Unit of Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, where he has been working since February 2026. He is a member of the Col·legi Oficial de Psicologia de Catalunya (COPC) and specializes in the assessment and diagnosis of cognitive disorders and dementias.
He obtained his degree in Psychology from the University of Barcelona, with a specialization in Health Psychology, and completed advanced training in Clinical Neuropsychology through a postgraduate master’s program at the Institut Superior d’Estudios Psicologicos (ISEP).. He continues to expand his expertise through courses and scientific conferences in neuroscience, neuropsychology, and neurodegenerative diseases.
Before joining ACE, he worked for three years as a neuropsychologist in centers dedicated to cognitive impairment and dementia care, including the Fundació Sociosanitària Santa Susanna (Caldes de Montbui) and the’Associació de Familiars de Persones amb Alzheimer i Altres Demències de Barcelona (AFAB). His responsibilities included neuropsychological assessment, clinical reporting, cognitive stimulation program design, and family support.
Although he is not currently involved in research projects, he has a strong interest in scientific research, particularly in biomarkers and the early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases. He aims to join research initiatives in the future.
