The Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN) awarded this week to Agustín Ruiz, head of Research at Fundació ACE, with the prize for the best oral communication of the SEN Annual Meeting 2018. This distinction has been granted for the conference "Complete genome tracing (GWAS) applied to the identification of genetic risk factors of Alzheimer's disease: results of the GR@ACE project".

In this lecture Ruiz highlighted the latest advances in the GR@ACE genomics project, led by Fundació ACE, which aims to identify new genes related to Alzheimer's in order to design new treatments to treat the disease.

The SEN Meeting, which last year reached its 70th edition, is the annual national meeting where the latest advances in the neurological field are presented.
