Ace promotes a new digital cognitive stimulation programme as part of the European COMFORTage project

Ace Alzheimer Centre Barcelona is launching a free cognitive stimulation programme aimed at people with mild cognitive impairment or early-stage dementia.

These sessions are part of the European COMFORTage project, an initiative that seeks to develop a personalised and integrated care model to prevent dementia and frailty.

Technology at the service of cognitive stimulation

For one year, participants will be able to attend one-hour face-to-face sessions twice a week at Ace’s Day Care Unit.

Using innovative digital tools, these sessions promote memory, attention, language and other cognitive functions, while helping to maintain participants’ motivation and social connection with their environment.

Cognitive stimulation is a safe, personalised, non-pharmacological therapy that seeks to keep mental abilities active through tablets and other digital tools, both individually and in small groups.

Participating in COMFORTage is an opportunity to be part of a pioneering European project in the use of technology for cognitive well-being, contributing to the generation of scientific knowledge and the design of more personalised solutions for people with cognitive impairment.

How to participate?

We are looking for people with mild cognitive impairment or early-stage Alzheimer’s disease who have previously undergone an MRI scan.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out the following form. You can also contact us by email at talleres@fundacioace.org or by telephone on 620 09 19 19.

COMFORTage, a European commitment to healthy ageing

The COMFORTage project, in which Ace participates alongside 38 other entities from 12 European countries, aims to develop innovative technological solutions to improve the quality of life of older people.

Among its goals is the creation of a digital platform based on artificial intelligence capable of detecting risk factors, personalising diagnosis and offering more humane, accessible care tailored to each individual.

With this new initiative, Ace reaffirms its commitment to research and innovation in brain health, bringing technology closer to people to promote more active and healthy ageing.
