About us

The Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona is an organization serving people with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias and their families. We also serve caregivers by providing support and resources to improve their quality of life.

What we do

Since 1995, we have been working in the fields of diagnosis, treatment, research and training in Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. In the same vein, we have been raising awareness among society to advance the knowledge and understanding of these neurodegenerative diseases.

We are a reference center in Catalonia for the Alzheimer’s diagnostic model we apply, which includes five visits with the person with cognitive impairment and their family members to carry out a comprehensive assessment and design personalized intervention proposals. Read more
Diagnosis
We treat each person using a comprehensive, human-centered, and evidence-based approach. We combine non-pharmacological treatments with innovative therapies such as therapeutic apheresis (AMBAR®) and non-invasive neuromodulation. Read more
Treatment
We conduct research to advance knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease. We have participated in more than 170 clinical trials and hold the largest Alzheimer’s genetic collection in Europe, and one of the largest in the world. Read more

We put our expertise at the service of healthcare professionals, families, caregivers, and society as a whole to improve the quality of life of people with Alzheimer’s disease. Read more

Through the Ace Caregivers’ Classroom, we support and train family members and caregivers of people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Read more
